Dry Brushing

The action of dry brushing is excellent for exfoliating rough, dry skin, and unclogging pores.  Gentle dry brushing will help to remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter complexion. Over time, exfoliation can speed up cell turnover and help minimize some of the effects of aging. Followed up with a nourishing lotion can leave your skin feeling softer and smoother.

Reiki

A Reiki session takes place in a relaxing treatment room similar as to when you get a massage. You will lay on the bed fully clothed, face up. The practitioner uses various hand movements to lightly touch or hover over various parts of your body. Throughout the session the practitioner focuses specifically on their intent to heal. We set a positive intention for whatever they need at the moment that would serve their highest good. We don’t know what it is or presume to know. We let reiki do what it needs to do.

Ease your aches and using LED Light Therapy for pain

LED wavelengths (not visible to the human eye) are known to benefit the human body when light is transmitted through the skin and reaches the targeted tissue such as an injured muscle.

As the light reaches the skin, particles of light (photons) are absorbed by light sensitive molecules called chromophores within each cell’s mitochondria – the ‘energy centre’ of each cell. Much like recharging a battery, this process amounts to an abundance of energy within each cell that promotes healing of skin, bone, muscles and connective tissues.

Dehydrated Skin - Not a Permanent Skin Condition

97% of Australians suffer from dehydration in their skin. Dehydrated skin is a lack of water in the skin. Which is different to dry skin which is a lack of oil. Dehydrated skin is a skin condition not a skin type which means it is a reaction to behaviour to external and internal stimulants. These include things like the environment, diet, and our lifestyle.

Dehydrated skin can be the start of many skin problems, if you think of a row of dominos all standing in a line, each of the dominos representing a skin condition. The first one in the line is dehydration, if this domino gets knocked over then there is a lot of other dominos that will fall as a result. So, with dehydration can come so many other skin problems and conditions

Ever Heard of Dry Needling?

Often our bodies have carried stress, toxins and damaged tissues around for so long it considers them ‘part of the furniture’ – as if the toxins and damaged tissues are now normal.

Dry needling elicits a response from the body that actively forces it to notice the toxins, wear and tear and the scar tissue in the area and do something about it.

The body will release 3 main hormones response to the stimulation of the needles. These 3 hormones are the key to the success of dry needling.
