Balance Beauty and Massage originated in March 2011 by a mother and daughter team and was call Balance Beauty and Make up artistry. On September 2019 Marissa (I) bought Balance Beauty and Makeup Artistry, with my qualifications of Diploma of Beauty Therapist for 20 years and a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapist for 10 years. I wanted to put these qualifications to the best use. There are a lot of salons that do brows and makeup and basic facials but I had two main visions for BB&M.
Firstly I wanted my clinic to specialized in skin and offer high end treatments and products. I wanted to help our clients with their skin concerns in particular acne, dehydration, pigment and ageing. Give them back their confident and feeling better in their skin. We have achieved this by using products that are very active and results driven, and are owned and manufactured here in Australia for our climate. We have some high quality treatments on our menu also to help us achieve this.
My Second vision was to specialize in remedial massage and help people with day-to-day stresses, chronic pain and chronic disease.
In July 2022 I bought a spa on Magnetic Island located in a 5-star resort Peppers Blue on Blue. It’s like being on a mini holiday while working what could be better.
