Bio Micro Needling
What is Micro bio needling?
Introducing the latest dynamic professional treatment at Balance Beauty and Massage.
This revolutionary new treatment using freshwater micro-sponge spicules rich in minerals, proteins and calcium are massaged into the skin, creating 3,000,000 microchannels to trigger a wound healing cascade in the dermis, that target skin regeneration and resurfacing.
Embracing a strategy that taps into the body's inherent ability to rejuvenate itself, this approach propels the production of collagen and elastin – the dynamic duo crucial for preserving a youthful and radiant complexion. This innovative approach proves invaluable in addressing a spectrum of visual facial concerns, encompassing hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles, sun damage, superficial scars, comedones, enlarged pores, and overall facial rejuvenation.
The spicules are not absorbed by the skin, they stay for up to 72 hours and are discharged with the outer layer of the skin which peel off. Skin will renew within 7 days and achieves natural, safe and effective physical rejuvenation.
The treatment promptly initiates new cell growth and may induce a sensation of tightness in the skin. While immediate results may not always be visible, as the skin may appear red and slightly irritated, the most remarkable outcomes typically manifest four to six weeks post-treatment. This delay is attributed to the body's natural timeline of 4-6 weeks to generate new, resilient, and healthier collagen, ultimately showcasing the transformative effects of the procedure. Patience is key, as the full scope of benefits becomes increasingly apparent over time.
Bio Microneedling facials offer a safe and repeatable skincare regimen, with sessions typically scheduled every 2-3 weeks until the desired results are attained. Specifically, for collagen induction, it is recommended to start with a course of 3 treatments, maintaining a minimum separation time of 2 weeks between each session. In cases of scar reduction, an average of 6 treatmentts is generally advised for optimal and lasting outcomes
What happens to the skin with Bio micro needling?
PHASE 1:
SPICULE IMPLANTATION
The implementation of 3 to 5 million siliceous microneedles, that are extracted from the freshwater sponge are massaged into the epidermis and stimulate the skin for up to 72 hours before they naturally fall out.
Phase 2:
BASAL CELL ACTIVATION
(DAY 1)
Basal cells are found at the bottom of the epidermis - the outermost layer of the skin. Basal cells produce new skin cells. As new skin cells are produced, they push older cells towards the skin’s surface, where the old cells die and are sloughed off.
Phase 3:
COLLAGEN REPRODUCTION
(DAY 1 - 3)
The implantation of the spicules creates a wound healing cascade in the skin, the wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells. The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels, effectively remodelling the skin.
PHASE 4:
EPIDERMAL REPAIR
(DAY 3-5)
Epidermal healing, or re-epithelialization, is the renewal of the epidermis that has been damaged by a wound (in this case it is the spicules)
You’ll start to see the formation of new tissue as the skin begins to regenerate. This is when the skin may feel tight. and itchy as new cells are being produced.
PHASE 5:
METABOLIC RENEWAL
(DAY 5+)
Epidermal Once the epidermis has renewed, the skin’s natural metabolic processes of repair and renew will take place. The new skin will continue to renew and strengthen; collagen is remodelled and the skin becomes firmer and more resilient. This phase can last for several months, with continued improvement in skin texture and tone.
