Reflexology, a holistic, non-invasive therapy

Reflexology is a holistic, non-invasive therapy which compliments other therapies and modern medicine to promote balance in physical, mental, emotional and energetic levels of the body.  The practice is based on the principle that all components of the body are reflected in reflexes throughout the body.

A qualified reflexologist will use a combination of pressure techniques on these reflexes in order to address imbalances in the mind and body.  Stress, toxins and illness create blockages inhibiting the flow of energy. These blockages also manifest in the corresponding reflex points in the hands and feet. Stimulation of congested reflexes help to in clear these blockages, allowing the flow of energy to be restored.

One of the most important benefits of reflexology is its ability to reduce stress and nerve tension. Approximately 70% of disorders can be related to stress and nerve tensions. In today’s society, stress a part of life and is difficult to avoid. Not all stress is negative, with short term stress stimulating and invigorating the body. However, long term constant exposure to stress can be devastating. Reflexology opens up the energy pathways, stimulating the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of the person being worked on.
